The importance of hysterosalpingography (HSG)

Examination of fallopian tube patency is one of the diagnostic tests for infertility. Infertility refers to the condition where a couple has regular sexual intercourse without contraception but fails to conceive after one year.

Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is currently the most recommended and commonly used method to examine the fallopian tubes, with advantages such as simple operation, minimal trauma, and high accuracy.

Therefore, if you have been trying to conceive for more than a year without success, it is advisable to undergo a hysterosalpingography. Additionally, if you have a history of high-risk factors for fallopian tube obstruction, such as ectopic pregnancy or pelvic inflammatory disease, it is recommended to undergo the examination early to assess the condition of the fallopian tubes. For older couples, especially women over 40 years old, if conception does not occur within six months of trying to conceive, it is also advisable to undergo infertility examinations.

After inserting the catheter into the uterine cavity, position the balloon at the internal os of the cervix. By injecting fluid into the balloon to inflate it, the cervix can be sealed, preventing the contrast agent from leaking out of the uterine cavity. This ensures that the contrast agent can smoothly enter the fallopian tubes, allowing the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes to be visualized, thereby accurately assessing the conditions inside the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes.

In fallopian tube angiography and recanalization surgeries, guidewires can be inserted through the fallopian tube catheter to dredge adhesions and push embolisms in the fallopian tubes. This helps relieve fallopian tube adhesions or stenosis and restore the normal function of the fallopian tubes. It is suitable for proximal or distal blockage of the fallopian tubes.
 
 

The knob can connect and lock the syringe and infusion set. 3.Screw connection two-way valve and screw type syringe (capacity 2.5ml) with 1.5mlsterile water , open the two-way valve and inject sterile water into balloon, then closethe two-way valve.

4.Tubal iniection chamber interface connecting the corresponding instrument for liquid
injecting or extracting.

5.After use, open the two-way valve, removal the sterile water from the balloon fully, pullthe tube in vitro.
